How to Clean and Care for a Glycerin (Freezable) Piece

Freeze Pipe glycerin care

The golden rules

  • Never use boiling water on the glycerin chamber.
  • Always let it dry completely before it goes back in the freezer.
  • Empty the water from bubblers and bongs before freezing.

Cleaning the glycerin coil

  1. Remove the coil from the base.
  2. Add isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt, or a cleaner like Formula 420, through the coil.
  3. Plug both ends with your fingers, caps or a paper towel and shake.
  4. Let it soak 10–15 minutes for heavy buildup.
  5. Rinse with room-temperature water and let it air-dry.

Cleaning the base

Clean it like any bong. See our full guide.

Freezing tips

  • One hour is enough, and the coil can live in the freezer between sessions.
  • Store it upright and away from heavy items.
